Disability Awareness & our web site.

We try to plan and design for everyone….

We are committed to ensuring all our visitors and members receive the best possible service. We also recognize that some persons have particular needs, of which we endeavour to take into account in the design and maintenance of this web site and in all our contact and provision of information with all members.

The Disability Discrimination Act sets out a number of requirements for companies, which we support and are committed to meeting.

We are currently building on our existing strengths in looking after the needs of disabled customers, which includes the provision of information in alternative, accessible formats.

This Internet Web Site is one of the ways in which we are working to make our services and products more accessible to all our customers. We are currently working with the Royal National Institute for the Blind to evaluate our new Site with the Disability Discrimination Act and the Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines, and will be making changes to the Site based on their recommendations.

This web site supports browser control text sizing, image off navigation, [tab] key movements between links and, as far as is practically possible, is accessible to the various screen-readers. In large part this web site is viewable to persons with colour differences in their vision but some degradation or difference in any images within this web site is expected. All images carry alternative text and if vital to the use of the web site and it's facilities a Long Description is denoted in the code.

There is a plain text site map here and a plain, printable application for membership form here.

We are constantly reviewing the services that we deliver, and invite comments and suggestions from our site visitors and members to help us in doing this.

How can we improve our web site?
